Alex Johnston starts AJ Supplies in Bridport from a small unit.
The company is purchased by Mike Runyard, managed by Mike and one member of staff. With an extended catalogue, sales were made from the back of a van.
AJ Supplies move into new premises on St Andrew's Industrial Estate with warehouse and offices.
AJ Supplies expands using telesales instead of van sales. Again, the product range expanded and diversified into catering and PPE.
Team begins to grow with the addition of Ros Backhouse.
Fleet of AJ Supplies deliveries vehicles expands to three and a part-time driver is employed as AJ Supplies picks up more local business.
Warehouse staff are employed to manage larger quantities of stock and additional warehouse space.
Back office team expands with sales, procurement and logistics roles being created. Another van and driver also added.
AJ Supplies are acquired by the owners of Source Supplies.
AJ Supplies is rebranded.
O2e becomes the affiliated charity of AJ Supplies.
AJ Supplies website is relaunched and includes a catalogue with online ordering for account holders.
AJ Hygiene Services is born
